VU Trailblazers gets 10 strikeouts from Trent Simpson, win 9-0 over Milwaukee Area Tech
Saturday was a great day for Trent Simpson, as Trent tossed a shutout to carry VU Trailblazers to a 9-0 victory over Milwaukee Area Tech in seven innings.
Milwaukee Area Tech couldn't get anything going so long as Trent was on the hill. Milwaukee Area Tech managed just one hit off of Simpson, who allowed no earned runs, walked five and struck out 10 during his seven innings of work.
Nine runs in the first three innings helped VU Trailblazers blow out Milwaukee Area Tech. An RBI single by Daniel Sanders, an RBI single by Robbie Doring, a two-run triple by Logan Coughlin, an RBI single by Brad Hartman, and a passed ball in the first inning supplied the early offense for VU Trailblazers.
VU Trailblazers' Brad was perfect at the dish, going 3-3.
VU Trailblazers built upon its lead with three runs in the third. Brad started the inning with a single, scoring Robbie. That was followed up by Jacob Carey's double, plating Brad and Logan.
